What a working iPhone 6 Plus is actually worth

- 02Activation lock. Settings, then General, then Transfer or Reset iPhone. If the seller’s Apple ID is still signed in, walk away. An iCloud-locked phone is a paperweight and no technician can fix it.
- 03Touch ID and the home button. Register a fingerprint on the spot. A replaced home button kills Touch ID permanently on this generation, and sellers know it.
- 04Lightning port. Bring your own cable. Ports on imported units are often full of pocket lint or corroded, and one that charges slowly today will stop charging soon.
