It looks nothing like the Tecno Pop 6, sporting a bezel-less look on the front and a beautiful multi-camera look on the back. Tecno Pop 6 Pro Specifications

Checkout some of its special features:

As you’d expect on any ‘Pro’ phone, the Tecno Pop 6 Pro’s display is massive, measuring 6.56 inches. However, that large size only comes with 720 x 1612 pixels, making it not what you’d expect from a decent device. It’s what we have come to expect from Tecno phones, as they seem unable to add high-resolution displays to their phones.

If the sparse distribution of pixels doesn’t bother you, you should like that the IPS LCD can hit 480 nits peak brightness. Even in heavy sunlight, you should still be able to see images and text on the phone’s screen.

The Tecno Pop 6 Pro features a massive 5000 mAh non-removable battery that lasts longer than you ordinarily need. 5000 mAh is already bordering the best battery size you can find on phones from top brands, but for Tecno, it’s no big deal, as most of the company’s phones have a battery of that size.

Thanks to this gigantic battery, you’ll never need a portable charger with your phone, as it will always retain enough battery strength to last you until you find another charging outlet.

This phone uses the same processor as the Tecno Pop 5 Pro, the Mediatek Helio A22, making its performance match its predecessor’s. The Helio A22 chip has four Cortex-A53 cores, each with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz, making it pretty performant.

While a newer processor would’ve worked better in a device like the Tecno Pop 6 Pro, the Helio A22 isn’t half bad, considering its speed. While you shouldn’t expect top-of-the-line performance from your Pop 6 Pro, as it’s a budget phone, you can expect it to execute basic smartphone tasks flawlessly.

The Tecno Pop 6 Pro’s cameras are no better than what you’ll find on the Pop 5 Pro. You get a dual camera setup on the back consisting of an 8 MP primary camera and a QVGA sensor as the secondary lens. The dual-LED flash is responsible for lighting up pictures at night to make them presentable.

On the other hand, the selfie camera is a single 5 MP lens with a single LED flash. The rear camera can produce 1080p at 30fps in the best cases, making it not the best device for content creation.

RAM/Internal Storage

The Tecno Pop 6 Pro comes in one RAM and storage configuration: 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. While the RAM is sufficient for a low-power device, we expected more internal storage, but that shouldn’t be a problem for you, as you can always insert an SD card each time you want more space.

Water Resistance

Expecting water resistance on a Tecno budget phone is infeasible in 2022, as the company doesn’t care about those luxuries when designing its devices. The Pop 6 Pro lacks an IP rating, despite being the high-end version of the Pop series.

Operating System

While the Tecno Pop 6 Pro came out in the same year as the Pop 6 and Pop 6 Go, it uses a more modern operating system: Android 12 Go Edition. It’s very similar to the Android 11 Go on its younger siblings, with some cutting-edge features that make it better.

You shouldn’t confuse Android 12 Go with the regular version of the Android 12 operating system. While the latter is the general version of the OS, the former is a stripped-down version for low-power phones that feature leaner apps and smaller virtual sizes.

Unlike the Tecno Pop 6 and Pop 6 Go, the Pop 6 Pro uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that’s even more reliable than the rear-mounted sensor on its weaker siblings. Since you’re already hardwired to light up your phone with the power button before unlocking it, having the fingerprint scanner on the power button consolidates both processes, making the unlocking process quicker.
