Totally agree about you about Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro being a good mid-tear phone. It sounds pretty impressive, thought it doesn’t look or feel very premium, but its features does made up for it.
Bought a RN9Pro. Very happy with the specs, features and it gets the job done. Much more reliable as an everyday phone than my Mi9.
The earpiece does actually work and function as a speaker of its own, but you can only use it in calling situations. Bear in mind that for this reason it is not nearly loud compared to the loudspeaker
